The self-elevating accommodation, maintenance and workover unit Seafox 3 was built to DNV classification requirements in 1982. Capable of withstanding extreme storm conditions in the Southern North Sea and equipped with 74.6 metre legs, the four-legged Seafox 3 is able to operate all year round, in water depths of up to 40 metres, depending on the local environmental seabed.
The Seafox 3 is contracted to be used offshore Thailand for Coastal Energy. The works include accommodation and support services for early oil production activities in the Shongkhla basin.

The Seafox 3 was designed by MSC to give it extensive flexibility in practical terms and offers permanent accommodation for 120 POB (persons on board). Additional accommodation can be installed on either the port or starboard aft side, in the form of temporary living quarters and/or a modular accommodation block.
The accommodation is of a high standard and the various leisure facilities include satellite TV, a mess room, recreation rooms, a sports room, a cinema, locker rooms and a fully-equipped galley. Other amenities include hospital facilities, a laundry, a GMDSS radio station, the jacking control room, the control bridge, helicopter administration, and a helicopter deck suitable for Sikorsky S61N-type helicopters.
