Electronic Technical Officer (ETO) |

The Electronic Technical Officer reports to and is the deputy of the Chief Engineer
Function requirements * Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, or electronic education to middle and higher level (HTS/MTS level); * Minimum of 2 years experience on board Dynamically Positioned (DP) offshore construction vessels; * Minimum of 2 years experience on seagoing vessels; * Good command of the English language, both written and spoken; * Practical experience with MS Office.
Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Authorities: * Responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on all electrical and electronical equipment onboard the unit; * Carry out maintenance and repairs on the electric and electronic installation onboard. * Maintaining essential electrical services in case of an emergency. * Ensure that proper electrical logs are kept. * Responsible for proper functioning of the jacking system and review of all relevant documentation. * Pre-load the unit in a correct manner to the satisfaction of the Warranty Surveyor. * Ensure that the jacking system is shut down and left in a safe manner after completion of the jacking operation. * Report on spare parts used and articles required. * Daily routines and maintenance per checklists; ensure that applicable installations and equipment are in compliance with regulations. * The ETO shall ensure availability of sufficient equipment for safest conduct of the work and constantly be aware of safe working conditions. * In case of rig-moves, advice the OIM of all the technical information to be included in the rig move report. * The ETO shall specifically comply with the requirements of the NEN 3140 standard second revision, and associated regulations.
