Workfox adds the new-built service jack-up rig Seafox 7 to its existing fleet.

Hoofddorp, the Netherlands 17 April 2008 - Workfox, the leading manager for accommodation and multi-support jack-up rigs for the Oil & Gas industry, has been awarded an exclusive management agreement with Seafox Contractors B.V. for the new-built jack-up rig Seafox 7.

 

The Seafox 7 has recently been acquired and will commence operations in the Southern North Sea in June 2008 for a period of minimal 100-120 days before it becomes available for the Oil & Gas industry or other markets (e.g. offshore windfarm market).

 

The Seafox 7, built at Labroy Shipyard, is the first new built jack-up rig to enter the Southern North Sea area and has standard accommodation for 80 POB with an offshore pedestal crane of 300t and can work up to 40-45m in the SNS sector. The operational workscope of the SF7 ranges from well services activities, maintenance and installation/construction works to platform decommissioning activities.
